b/w; 4to, original three quarters red morocco and cloth, gilt, gilt spine compartments, top edges gilt, raised bands; joints, edges, corners, and bands occasionally rubbed, small bit of black residue [dime sized], possibly wax, on cloth of front cover of vol. 5. Light waving to mounting sheets. Scattered Maps, illustrations. Internally clean. Presumed unique set with text mounted on heavy paper sheets, in custom binding. Fascinating incidents and tales neatly mounted on red framed heavy stock. Includes many apocryphal stories and legends as well as historical incidints.
